cattle and dairy products. On the industrial side, the state has a long history
of weapon production, but has diversified into the production of helicopters,
hardware, tools, cutlery, sawing machines, transportation equipment, chemical
products, electric equipment, clocks, locks, and submarines. With its more than
170,000 ac of state forests, 250-mile Long Island Sound shoreline, and 94 state
